A good day

Yesterday was a good day....for many reasons. Joanne found her dress for the wedding, and a cute little number for the shower (I guess its a law that you have to have a different new dress for every occasion). Rachel at Camille's helped Jo - again, very nice to deal with.

Nikki and Freddie liked it. Nikki tried on a tiara and it started to rain (inside).

We had lunch at Max Burger's which was excellent, despite the down pour. I think we should serve eggplant fries at the wedding.

It was a good day because Jay and Julie joined us for dinner. We all made it together. Freddie and Nikki have some cool ideas for decorations to have at the wedding (can't tell you, though, its a surprise)

I understand now the look on my parents and Jo's parents' faces when we all used to get together. How proud they were of us and how much they enjoyed just being around us. I feel the same. So strange, you just love having your kids around you, even for a short time. It's indescribable...a moment that just takes your worries away. I need to visit Poppy Joe, spend some time...give him a good day.
